Open for a long time, great food. Hasn't changed in years because there's no need to. Very friendly staff, order and then go pick it up when your number is called.

Well, I'm a Texas bit, born and raised. I've eaten more than my fair share of BBQ over the course of my life. This place is a hit! Good food and low prices... what else do you need!? Go forth and eat, my friends (and foes - I'm not choosy)!!

My first time and I get a salad rite. What was I thinking dude 😋but I told the young lady I'll be Back'. The place has a pleasant atmosphere, clean inside /outside and a warm welcome. My recent trip to Arkansas from Florida had us passing through Opelika, Alabama. Since I'm a huge fan of BBQ, I mapped a few places I wanted to try to get a larger perspective on the variety of styles of southern BBQ. I chose Chuck's B-B-Que because it's also my name and I wanted a shirt. The staff was super friendy and allowed me to take pictures of their open door vertical pit which can be see from the dining area. I ordered half of a chicken and choppened pork, which comes without their mustard based sauce. Their chipped pork does, if that's your thing. My order was to go and really enjoyed my selections. The tendernous & hickory/oak smoke shined through. I personally would like a hint more salt on the chopped pieces. But that was easy to address. I didn't have sides as I was only there for the meat, so I can't comment on those. Lastly, if you are in the area or passing through, give Chuck's B-B-Que a try.

I love coming in on Saturday and getting the buy 1 get 1 free bbq sandwich. They r so good.

Chuck's BBQ is a staple in the Auburn, Opelika area. I grew up eating this bbq. There is no other sandwich taste that can compare. It is a unique flavor smokey, yet tangy with just a hint of sweetness. Try the chipped or chopped bbq sandwich. You will love it!

Great bbq

My favorite BBQ place. The sauce is mustard based, but they also have a tomato based sauce. Recommend the "chipped on the block, all the way" sandwich. Includes pickle and BBQ slaw.

The first time that I visited Chuck's was in the late 1970's. ( I worked for Uniroyal) The food is consistently good and the staff is very friendly. My son in law is a big bar b que fan, can't wait to take him to Chuck's!

Excellent real food! The scent of smokey bbq greets you in the car before you even exit. Looks like homemade fries. Bbq was incredibly tasty and generous with a mustard based sauce. Loved it! Next time I am in the area, I'll be back!

The sandwich I had was great. It was not to pricey and the service was outstanding. Not to meniton the workers there had a biblical slogan on their shirts.

This is real BBQ not some crock.pot stuff you get your food right off the fire in front of you !!!!

Great food at great prices

I got the combination plate sub ribs with macaroni salad and baked beans. The ribs were tender and meaty... The chicken was seasoned well and kinda fell off the bone. The baked beans were good as well but the macaroni salad could have been better. It tasted like it had been sitting out and was starting to somewhat spoil. The brownie was great, very moist.

I don't know what chips is. But theirs is awesome. I assume it's pork braised in their home made mustard BBQ sauce. Chicken was perfect also. Definitely would go again.

Barbeque cooked over a brick pit. The pork is smokey and flavorful with ample portions. Prices are good and the service friendly. Serves ribs, chicken, and brisket with homemade sides. Try it when you are in Opelika.

Sandwiches were not good

BBQ... served with friendly faces, great attitudes, and knowledge the menu.Chuck' s is a local favorite BBQ Joint. Be sure to ask about Ribs... My favorite item from menu is the BBQ Salad.

For a first timer the food was good

Not the Chuck's that has been operating for years. Food OK at best. Pork and chicken sandwiches come with a slightly burnt taste. Not the standout flavor that I remember.

I'm not sure how long Chucks has been in business but I've been going there for 36 years. Great lunchtime home town "go to" BBQ restaurant. Get yourself anything chopped on the block and then grow from there it's all good!

Food was great personality need some work. May have be tough day for them. Not rude or friendly.

I was to eat somewhere else and the smoke got me. I turned around and went back. Excellent BBQ. Will definitely be back.

Cold and dried out BBQ meat you could tell it was yesterday overcooked left overs tried to be rehydrated with BBQ sauce worsted I've ever bought didn't eat it trashed it and went to country's BBQ

We were looking for a good BBQ place while traveling and saw a sign for Chucks Bar-b-que. So glad we Did!!!! Wonderful people and wonderful food. One of my new favorites. I would recommend to everyone. Great family place!

Not my favorite this time the ribs were very dry, we could not eat them, and we just got a very uneasy filling while we were there. We saw three people walk up come in use the restroom and leave.
